Normally, can by convert into energy in the PowerPlant (look CeeBot-Teen)

I think add another thing. Can be converted it to titannium in Converter!

Scraps are not meant to be used in Colobot - in fact they should be removed (and already were but then we removed them), but we are keeping them in case somebody has the idea of using them in new programming course.
