It has the best wiki I've ever seen https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners%27_guide You'll learn a lot about Linux and basically build your own distribution from scratch and have a complete control over your OS. Although if I were you, I'd first install Arch on VM or second computer/partition and do it when I'd have at least 2 days of free time, because first steps are hard, but well worth it in my opinion.

Arch Linux master race.

i'm thinking of having a fresh install soon and i'm considering other options

could you tell me any advantages of debian over ubuntu?

I've only heard that it doesn't have fglrx in repositories

I prefer Debian, so not really

On another note, is anybody here following the ubuntu 16 release?

Still it's hilarious

I don't mean literally burned, it just died. He installed Win10, tried to reboot and it din't boot up.

I saw different problems with Windows 10, like explorer crashing every 5 minutes, or general slow down, but burning hardware is ... original
avatar
This is like the most extreme case of getting phaged by Windows 10
avatar
lolwut?

...And his motherboard burned Big Grin

One British dev one day was talking about how he tried to upgrade system to Windows 10...
avatar
Since I'm interested in game dev myself, I tend to stick to groups of game developers myself

"Strange, it works for me" - classic

I've never had any problems with Visual Studio or LaTeX editor... All the stories about Windows 10 not working are like myths to me, like "what the hell people, are we talking about the same thing, because I've had totally different experiences than you".
