OpenGL on AMD drivers has poor performance, regardless of OS. Pro tip: just never buy any graphics cards from AMD, better pay this 100 PLN more for that Nvidia equivalent, really.

Had same issue on Radeon, for me it's ok now, it must be issue in AMD drivers.

CGE still lagging on GL3.3 for me. WTF?

I already checked thanks @tomaszkax86 tip how Colobot looks and feels in B&W. It's actually better in RGB since there's a lot of gameplay color related stuff. I just wanted to check if this is like some of my fav Spielberg movies ("Raiders of the Lost Ark", "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" "Saving Private Ryan"...) where film actually looks and feels better in B&W than in color.

When I was using Windows 2000/XP I installed only Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scaner for occasional checkouts. No real-time RAM/CPU-consuming super-duper high-tech anti-virus programs were on my computers. And I never got any real virus-like angry super-bad program. I'm just careful user of the internets, that's all what I need.

Antivirus aren't as necessary nowadays as they were in Windows XP era, when they had to prevent pendrive infections and software full of security holes.

@RaptorParkowsky : OS cannot do so much when user download files from weird parts of internet, including cracked programs, or trivial tricks with emails attachment.pdf.exe
avatar
or at least I think that's how it works
avatar
@RaptorParkowsky heuristics can be done locally, when they upload something it's usually for actual researchers to look at it
avatar
But you really mean any living breathing humans are working on analyzing all such files? Isn't this processed by some heuristic algorythms etc.? Anyway, imho antivirus software today is just a piece of useless sh*t, another way to get money out of customers and another way to display ads. It's rather up to OS developers to make their software safe. Any additional software won't be able to prevent real hacker attack or using software backdoors today.

@DavivaD Do you really think they have enough time to check every single file from every single user? Wink

Antiviruses are getting more and more paranoid about executables that are not commonly run by other users... And I think that automatically sending your files to researches for analysis without any confirmations is just wrong. Especially for developers who will have a ton of such custom binaries on their disk.
