I don't really see a big diffrence in opening level editor or specialized text editor.
Instead of making a whole text editor from scratch, I'd rather go with something like a module for atom.io (if we really want it). This way you have some things like autocompletion or syntax coloring ready and only need to write Colobot-specific rules for them.
