(English) Update 0.1.10 – CBOT bugfixes and stuff for user level makers!

The 0.1.10 release has finally happened! This time we have a lot of CBOT bugfixes, cool new stuff for userlevel makers and some other minor changes. You can see the full changelog under the „Read More” link. Or just go to the download page and get it right now!

It’s worth noting that with each release more and more stuff is coming from the community in the form of Pull Requests. From now on, we’ll try to mention everybody who helped make the release happen in the changelog. Want to help too? Check how to contribute

(English) Update 0.1.9 – 15th Colobot anniversary, introducing CBOT inheritance!

It’s been exactly 15 years since Colobot was first released. That is quite a long time, isn’t it? Very few games have a community that keeps them alive for so long. To celebrate this special occasion, we have prepared a new release – a release that adds one of the most requested features that were missing in the original game – class inheritance in CBOT! With object-oriented programming becoming more and more popular, we believe this feature will greatly increase educational value of Colobot.

Additionally, we are happy to announce that the next release will likely be called 0.2.0, as we are just getting ready to release a major update to all models and textures that we were working on for the last few years. We have already revealed some high-resolution UI textures to you in the previous releases, and just to keep you excited this release contains some more texture updates – can you spot which ones have changed?

We also want to thank all of you, members of the Colobot community, for the last 15 years. Without you, Colobot wouldn’t be where it is now. We hope that with your help we will be able to continue updating and enhancing the game in the upcoming years.

And let’s not forget the usual stuff – you can find the new release on our download page and read the full changelog under the „Read more” button.

(English) The Random Update – 0.1.8

Hey, it’s time for another update! This time we don’t have anything bigger to announce, but we have made some random improvements that should hopefully make your playing experience better.

Main things worth mentioning are: making DefenseTower work and unlocking debugger in code battles, blur effect when pausing the game, addition of first person camera for the astronaut, better camera keybindings and joystick configuration, improved camera controls, possibility for adding custom win/lost scenes in userlevels, new debug menu and some bugfixes, as usual. More detailed changelog is available under the „Read more” button.

Userlevel designers should note that this update introduces a warning for incoming changes in EndMissionTake, update your levels because if you don’t, they will stop working soon!
